Crane Currency has released an educational film detailing MOTION SURFACE™, their latest micro-optics security feature product.
MOTION SURFACE™ is an evolution of Crane’s MOTION® security thread feature, developed to enable the MOTION® micro-optics technology to be applied as a patch.
MOTION® was first used in a circulating banknote in 2006, by Sweden’s Riksbank on the 1,000-krona note. RAPID®, the first evolution of MOTION®, was first used by the National Bank of Ukraine on the 100-hryvnia banknote in 2014.
Crane Currency’s latest security feature has already been issued in a commemorative banknote, the Kyrgyz Republic’s 2,000-som note, circulated in November 2017. It won the Best Regional Banknote Award in February this year.
