Arjowiggins Security has entered into an irrevocable agreement with Oberthur Fiduciaire to acquire the Arjowiggins Security BV subsidiary including the VHP plant in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands.
A press release dated 21 July 2017 from parent company, Sequana, has confirmed the sale of its subsidiary Arjowiggins Security BV to Oberthur Fiduciaire, including its VHP plant in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands and intellectual property rights relating to the production of paper for banknotes.
The sale has been agreed for a price of €22 million, which will take place on 31 July 2017.
The VHP plant in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, manufactures banknote paper such as that used for the euro currency, with an annual production capacity of around 6,500 tonnes. It employs around 130 staff.
