The Bank of Russia has issued a commemorative 100-ruble polymer banknote to mark the 2018 FIFA World Cup which is to be hosted by Russia.

The vertically orientated design of the FIFA banknote features illustrations of footballs including a goalkeeper in action and small child holding a football.
The predominant colours used in the design are blue and green, whilst the note’s dimensions are 150mm by 65mm.
Key security features include a clear window containing a holographic foil patch feature, and other optically variable features which appear when the note is tilted including moiré patterns and ink.
The banknote is printed by Russia’s State Printer, Goznak.
A QR code is featured on the bottom right of the obverse side of the banknote, containing a link to the Bank of Russia’s website where users can view the note’s security features.
