The Bank of England has announced that there are just over three months left to use the old design paper ten pound banknote before it is withdrawn from circulation on the 2 March 2018.
The new polymer ten pound banknote began circulating on 14 September 2017, circulating alongside the cotton paper version featuring Charles Darwin issued in 2000.
The Bank of England has announced that the old cotton paper design will no longer be legal tender from 2 March 2018, giving the public and businesses just over three months to use any of the paper notes they still own.
After this date, they can be exchanged at the Bank of England.
According to the Bank, 55% of all ten pound banknotes currently circulating consist of the new polymer design.
