A commemorative 5-zloty coin has been issued by Poland’s Central Bank, the Narodowy Bank Polski, to commemorate 100 years of regaining independence.
The commemorative coin was issued on 22 May 2018, in advance of Poland’s independence day which falls later this year on 11 November.
The bimetal 5-zloty coin has a silver coloured manganese (MN25) ring and a gold coloured core made from copper, aluminium and nickel (CuAl6Ni2). The edging is irregularly milled, has a diameter of 24mm and weighs 6.54g.
Commissioned by the Narodowy Bank Polski (NBP), the coins are being struck at the Polish Mint (Mennica Polska S.A) in Warsaw.
A total of 38.3 million pieces will be produced, intended for each citizen living in Poland
