The Central Bank of Transnistria has issued commemorative banknotes and coins to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, also known as the Bolshevik Revolution.
The Transnistrian Republican Bank issued commemorative banknote denominations of 1 and 5 rubles, and commemorative coins of 10, 5 and 1 rubles on 3 November 2017.
Commemorative banknotes
The design of the commemorative banknotes are similar to those currently circulating in Transnistria, but with the additional symbol of the Order of the October Revolution positioned on the right side of the front of the note. It includes text inscription which translates to “100 YEARS” above the symbol and “OCTOBER REVOLUTION” below.

Commemorative coins
The Transnistrian Republican Bank advises that the 10-ruble coin is made from 925 silver. It is 33mm in diameter and weighs 15.55g. The design shown on the obverse of the coin includes an image of the State Emblem of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika and the year of issue, “2017”. The reverse includes a portrait of the Russian communist revolutionary Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, displayed in front of the flag shown in colour.
Each of the commemorative coin denominations include the phrase “100 years of the Great October Socialist Revolution”.

5,000 banknotes of each denomination have been produced, and 250 of the 10 ruble coins are available.
