The Central Bank of the Bahamas has launched the new $10 banknote, the first to be issued of their new CRISP (Counterfeit Resistant Integrated Security Product) Evolution series of banknotes.
The new paper banknote, designed and printed by De La Rue in collaboration with the central bank, is the first circulating banknote to include De La Rue’s Active™ security thread.

The new note’s design includes Sir Stafford Sands, the former finance minister who assisted with the tourist industry in the country.
Other security features include De La Rue’s Orbital™ optically variable colour changing security feature in the form of a butterfly, using SICPA’s SPARK® ink. The banknote also includes a watermark, latent image and phosphorescent BLINK feature, viewable under UV light.
The Governor of the Central Bank of the Bahamas said of the new note:
“We are delighted to be pioneering the latest security thread technology and thank De La Rue for helping us with this first note in our new series.”
