The Central Bank of Argentina has circulated its new 50-peso banknote, the latest denomination from its new banknote series.
The new banknote is part of the “Native Animals of Argentina” banknote series and features an image of the Andean Condor, a national symbol of the country.
The 50-peso paper banknote is the fifth out of six denominations to be issued, following the 1,000- and 20- peso circulated in 2017, and the 200 and 500-peso circulated during 2016.
The note’s design has a vertical obverse with a horizontal reverse.
Security features include watermarks, microlettering, tactile features and see through feature.
The front of the banknote is printed using intaglio and offset litho whilst the reverse is only in litho offset.
