The next Swiss banknote of the new Ninth Series will begin circulating in August 2018.
The Swiss National Bank, Switzerland’s Central Bank, confirmed the news via a press release yesterday.
The new 200-franc banknote will be the fourth denomination to be issued from the Ninth banknote series, following the launch of the 50-franc note in 2016 and the 20 and 10-franc notes in 2017.
The 200-franc banknote will be unveiled on the 15 August and will enter circulation a week later on 22 August.
Each of the denominations of the new Ninth banknote series have a key motif – the 200-franc note will showcase Switzerland’s scientific expertise.
